Not many words needed to introduce SIEGE: they're the undisputed generators of all hyper-speed Hardcore, Grindcore and blasting fast Thrash and have massively influenced a world of maniacs bringing musical extremities to the most outraegous boundaries, the first most obvious example being Napalm Death that mentioned them as an inspiration since the "Scum" era and covered "Walls" on their legendary Mick-Shane-Bill-Lee times Peel Sessions, or Heresy that covered "Conform" and the list goes on forever!
Housed in a deluxe gatefold sleeve with silver hot foil stamp logo on the front and partial UV print, including a booklet with rare and never seen before photos, lyrics, original artwork. Drop Dead Conform Life Of Hate Starvation Armageddon Thanx for sharing the music and your memories. Justin yeah, it seems like an important part of that community or sub culture that has gotten lost in the sea of "progress".
Great stuff! Pushead was a god to so many of us. Does he still do art and records? I hav not heard anything about him in ages. What an incredible album. I love the Mob 47, Septic Death, 7 Seconds and Inferno tracks especially already have all of Sieges amazing stuff as well. If we were living in the same town, we would have been great friends.
My life, seems similar to yours. Its the stuff I really look forward to on your blog, although records like this one make me so happy to hear and think about again.
Crazy coincidence! I just found this in a used bin a couple weeks ago. Vinyl plays perfectly, the cover just a tad worn.
Amazing art by the always reliable Pushead. View wishlist Shopping Cart: 0 Items. Your shopping cart is currently empty. Please select an item and add it to your cart. Close Checkout. Live in LA History Book Live in LA Mona Live in LA Legal Shot Live in LA Shebeen Live in LA " Describing the World Inferno Friendship Society isn't easy. In fact, it's damn near impossible. The band has members stretching into the double digits and styles that reach into the outer limits of space.
There's a bit of a swing feel at some points on the record, but this is far from the revival sounds of groups like the Squirrel Nut Zippers; it instead tends more toward the sound of a circus barker outside the freak-show tent. Whether crooning about tattoos or the idea of running Dante Alighieri for president, there is rarely a dull moment in the stomping grooves and obscure humor of the band.
Songs like "All of California and Everyone Who Lives in It Stinks" could succeed on title alone, but the multi-instrumentalists and tendency toward group vocals gives the record an even stronger presence, and even when the songs stop making sense, it's hard to not keep listening just to see what happens next.
World Inferno is by no means an average rock band, but they are certainly a fresh change of a group and their musical philosophy is so weird that it demands to be experienced. Tattoos Fade 2. The Hellacopters - Disappointment Blues Disappointment Blues is a six-song CD collecting a number of B-sides by this critically acclaimed Swedish combo.
As such, it's of little interest to the casual fan, but the Hellacopters still serve up some excellent Motorhead - inspired madness, including a cover of the latter's "Speedfreak.

The band had taken this opportunity to downshift a gear, further hone their songwriting, and offer up a new, more mature sound. There's a bit of a muted quality to the entire set, which may be a reflection of the mix and production, but more likely reflects the band's own tight rein. Case in point is "Weekend in L.

Woyay Rhythm and Pain Link. Disfear - Misanthropic Generation With the prominent voice of Tomas Lindberg the combo unleashes a nearly demonic, blazing and disastrous onslaught of killing explosions!
Although it does have a very much hardcore character, in terms of its strength and depth it is wrapped up in a strong metallic feeling. Lunatic voices are combined with intense power chords, severe playing and passionate guitar solos.
In a few words: fast, brutal, merciless and malevolent! Definitely a must for fans of hardcore that is not dull and shallow but full of metal guts and power. Powerload 2. An Arrogant Breed 3. The Undertones - Dig Yourself Deep The Undertones, the band themselves, have been basking in their pristine pop reputation since their reformation in With four original members intact and relatively recent addition Paul McLoone on vocals, the group may have struggled to break out of nostalgia corner yet they thoroughly rock it live.
Following 's tentative Get What You Need, Dig Yourself Deep is a work that can be mentioned in the same breath as their earlier greats. A proper old-fashioned 'record', it packs in 14 songs in just under 33 minutes and plays on the group's inherent strengths, taut, densely melodic rock, embracing the past yet focussed on the future.
Were it released by The Twang, this album would garner a great deal more press and airplay. Dig Yourself Deep is a very pleasant surprise. It possesses all the hallmarks of Derry's finest: brevity and panache under a wall of noise.

The band shifts freely between styles, making Devils Night Out their most spirited, freewheeling collection of ska-core. Devil's Night Out 2. Howwhywuz, Howwhyam 3. Drunks And Children 4.

Although there were significant line-up changes it was Brody who played guitar, sang, and wrote or co-wrote nearly every song on the band's three albums.
Tony Bradley also played guitar and Ryan Sinn played bass. It is nasty and contemptuous, provocative and empowering and flies by at a breakneck pace. As enthusiastic and straight-edged as Sing Sing Death House is, and for all of Armstrong's brave struggling with her emotional horrors, the album lacks a certain zeal to carry it beyond its spiritual leanings.
The sense that they are capable of moving forward and making an album that could be a real watershed recording is clear. This album feels more like a stepping stone to greater things, though.
Right now they have made one of the more honest and vital punk-rock records of recent memory, one of which deserves every ounce of love it has gotten.
